MSA Safety has elected Octavio Marquez to its Board of Directors as part of the industrial safety company’s regular succession planning. Marquez is President and CEO of Diebold Nixdorf.
MSA Safety said Marquez brings experience in corporate strategy, capital allocation, international markets and business transformation. His background is expected to support the board as it oversees the company’s growth and long-term strategic priorities.
Marquez joined Diebold Nixdorf in 2014 and has held several senior positions within its banking technology operations. These roles included Executive Vice President of Global Banking and Senior Vice President of the Americas.
Before joining Diebold Nixdorf, Marquez held leadership positions at Dell EMC, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, IBM and NCR. His career has included responsibilities spanning technology, financial services, international operations and enterprise transformation.
Diebold Nixdorf provides technology that helps financial institutions and retailers connect physical and digital customer experiences. The company works with many of the world’s largest banks and retailers and supports customers across more than 100 countries.
Marquez holds a degree in business and finance from Universidad Iberoamericana. He has also completed executive education programs at MIT Sloan, The Wharton School and The University of Texas at Austin.
MSA Safety develops industrial safety products and technologies used to protect workers and facilities. The company generated $1.9 billion in revenue during 2025 and employs approximately 5,300 people across more than 40 international locations.
