MultiversX And Cornell University Partner On Blockchain Essentials Program

By Amit Chowdhry • Jun 17, 2024

Building on a history of collaborations like those with the University of Vienna and ELTE Budapest, MultiversX is continuing to invest in educational initiatives by offering underprivileged college students the opportunity to take part in a Blockchain Essentials program with eCornell, the online education unit of Cornell University.

This program is the latest step in MultiversX’s commitment to education. It follows multiple introductory blockchain courses and hackathons that already took place in partnership with colleges and universities worldwide. In collaboration with eCornell, a leading provider of online education, MultiversX is launching a pioneering educational initiative.

This summer, MultiversX will start offering a pilot Blockchain Essentials Certificate Program to 100 underserved college-age students from anywhere in the world, by pledging sponsorship to all participating students to cover their course fees.

This goal aims to facilitate access to blockchain education, enabling students to explore the vast opportunities within the Web3 space.

The participants will engage in eCornell’s Blockchain Certificate Program. The completion of this deal will undertake a hands-on challenge using the MultiversX technology stack, offering real-world experience to support them in their professional careers.

Upon completing the two-month eCornell program, students will have the opportunity to receive mentorship, support, and funding from MultiversX to develop blockchain projects that can benefit their communities.

KEY QUOTES:

“Blockchain is an open book for anyone willing to read it. We’re still at the beginning of this story, so there’s plenty of room for anyone with innovative ideas that they want to bring to fruition. MultiversX’s collaboration with eCornell highlights our commitment to making our technology accessible to different communities all over the world, and it’s just one of the ways we’re streamlining the onboarding of builders to Web3 and to our ecosystem.”
