MyDecisive has emerged from stealth with $12 million in funding and the launch of SmartHub, its open-source foundation for enterprise IT operations. The company also announced the general availability of Octant, a commercial product suite built on the SmartHub platform.
Founded in 2023 by serial entrepreneur Ari Zilka, MyDecisive develops AI-powered DevOps technology for managing production infrastructure. Its platform is designed to help enterprises monitor system performance, control costs, respond to incidents and govern changes made by human and AI developers.
As companies move AI applications into production, software and infrastructure can change more frequently and generate increasing volumes of operational data. MyDecisive aims to help engineering teams analyze that information and respond before performance or security problems become major incidents.
SmartHub is a self-managing cluster built around Kubernetes and OpenTelemetry. It operates at the edge within a customer’s cloud or on-premises environment, giving engineering teams control over telemetry data generated by their applications and infrastructure.
Telemetry includes logs, performance measurements and traces that show how requests move across software systems. MyDecisive processes this information close to its source rather than automatically sending large, unoptimized data streams to third-party monitoring dashboards.
Octant adds enterprise governance, security and automation capabilities to the SmartHub foundation. Its features include error management, automated anomaly detection, runbook execution, cloud autoscaling and security log optimization.
Automated runbooks allow systems to carry out predefined responses when particular operational problems are detected. These capabilities can reduce the time employees spend diagnosing common incidents while helping companies maintain consistent response procedures.
MyDecisive said Octant can provide initial value within one day and that individual capabilities can be deployed by engineers within hours. The company also claims the platform can reduce the total operating cost of production systems by nearly 90%, although results will depend on each customer’s infrastructure and implementation.
The platform combines DevOps, IT operations and financial operations, commonly known as FinOps. This gives enterprises a unified view of system reliability, security, infrastructure utilization and cloud expenses.
MyDecisive said its technology is already supporting production workloads for major enterprise customers. The company has an expanding pipeline across financial services, retail, telecommunications and healthcare.
The funding will support continued product development and broader enterprise adoption as organizations seek to operate conventional applications and AI workloads through shared infrastructure.
