MyXR: The Software that Powers Engage, A Platform Using Gamification

MyXR is the software company behind Engage, a behavior modification platform that empowers organizations to reinvigorate and expand their relationship with their audiences through gamification. The MyXR Engage platform can be used by marketers, HR leaders, students, and sports fans. In a recent interview with Pulse 2.0, MyXR’s CEO Hans Koch shared more information about the company.

Hans Koch’s Background

After asking Koch more about his background, he said:

I’m a serial entrepreneur with a track record of creating and expanding successful businesses that can withstand macroeconomic challenges like the collapse of the dot-com industry, the 2008 financial crisis, COVID, and inflation/market insecurity. With over 25 years of experience in launching and scaling innovative and disruptive businesses across various sectors (with half of my career in real estate development, and the other in tech/media) the intersection of old and new business is powerful.”

When the internet was just taking off in 1995, I was the CEO and chairman of Owners.com, which became the ‘E-Trade of Real Estate’ and changed selling/buying a home online forever. With over 200,000 homes listed every year, and partnerships with distributors, and real estate corporate leaders, the company was sold to AOL and continued for over 22 years.”

“Currently, as the CEO of MyXR, I work with a global team of passionate professionals who are creating or expanding the next generation of motivating engagement platforms using behavioral science and gamification to address some of the biggest problems today, such as focus and real engagement. “

What MyXR Does

What does MyXR do? Koch shared:

“MyXR Inc. develops software platforms that unite communities with the organizations they love – or work for, study at, and receive care from – by recognizing and rewarding them for their time, effort, and attention. Designed to be user-friendly to all audiences, MyXR’s Engage 3 communication and engagement platform leverages gamification to influence user behavior and maximize participation in activities that foster community growth and connections. MyXR Engage 3 licenses are available for different types of organizations, including global events and professional sports, nonprofits, universities, larger employers, and more.” 

Favorite Memory

What has been Koch’s favorite memory working for the company so far? Koch reflected: 

“Easily, my favorite memory of working at MyXR is to see the pure happiness that comes from a prospect or customer checking out our newest platform, MyXR Engage, and sharing that with the team. Not often do our least experienced members of the team get to see such a wide range of industries all sharing a common need and seeing that need satisfied.”

Core Products

What are the company’s core products and features? 

As of December 7, 2023, MyXR announced MyXR Engage, which has use cases for different industries, including these:

— MyXR Engage for Sports: Provides major sports teams and venues (college, pro, or international events) with an engagement ecosystem to entertain, engage, activate, inspire, and retain fans while simultaneously expanding revenue and visibility for/from sponsors and community partners. 

— MyXR Engage for Higher Education: Works with colleges and universities to engage stakeholders, including students, alumni, and employees. MyXR provides a way to motivate its community and reward them for their time, ultimately making universities more inspired and active – from capital giving to admissions to fans of the athletic program.

— MyXR Engage for Employers: Provides businesses of all sizes with the software they need to engage, retain, train, and reward employees to be more aware, active and responsive in their workplace roles and responsibilities. From Manufacturers to Hospitality, Engage respectfully elevates staff involvement by self-selecting and showing gratitude.

— MyXR Engage for K-12 Education. Helps schools increase student attendance, inspires creativity and involvement, and rewards efforts to bring schools, students, and communities together to support better education and results in the classroom. 

— MyXR Engage for Healthcare. Allows healthcare providers to engage with their teams, patients, and doctors in completely new ways. From telehealth to new FDA-approved products, preventative medicine, and pediatric care, Engage brings focus and results to retain staff and keep patients from even having to go to the hospital or ever going to the hospital in the first place.”

These use cases continue to expand and evolve as each industry finds a need for an engaged workforce or community members. 

Evolution Of MyXR’s Technology

How has MyXR’s technology evolved since launching? 

“Most notably, we invested in upgrading our Engage platform in 2022 to meet the demand, but the demand was more than our engineering team could handle. We needed to change engineering teams, redesign, rethink, streamline, and engineer our technologies for hundreds of millions of users.”

Significant Milestones

What have been some of MyXR’s most significant milestones? 

“1.) Advancing our nonprofit and for-profit use cases and how they can benefit the community together faster.

2.) Expansion through Channel Partners.

  1. The addition of the company’s special group of superheroes, shareholders, and champions, including Sloane Stephens, Brandon Salaam-Bailey, Michael Tubbs, and Adrian Gonzalez.”

Funding

After asking Koch about the company’s funding information, he revealed:

We have raised over $1.2 million since 2018, and have doubled the value of the company over the same period. We are currently accepting investments now leading up to our  Series A round later this year. ”

Total Addressable Market

What total addressable market (TAM) size is the company pursuing?

“We are pursuing a $1 trillion TAM, which includes overlays of our different verticals, including Loyalty, Sports, Travel, Hospitality, Healthcare, Education, Entertainment, and more.”

Differentiation From The Competition

What differentiates the company from its competition? 

  1. Our access. We have some of the best and biggest organizations with us because of our team.
  2. Our understanding of our customers. We have been them, so we know what works and what doesn’t. That correlates with shorter sales cycles and lots of referrals/inbound sales.
  3. Our movement to bring for-profits and nonprofits together.”
  4. Our ability to align unexpected and powerful partners from different verticals.

Future Company Goals

What are some of the company’s future company goals? 

“Oh, we have many, but our immediate goal is to provide the most impactful ROI-driven software in the market for as many global organizations as possible for their benefit. As we continue our path, we’ll add more versions of Engage, new partners, and added value at every milestone.”
