n8n, the AI orchestration platform, has announced a strategic investment from SAP alongside a multi-year commercial partnership that more than doubles the company’s valuation to $5.2 billion from $2.5 billion secured less than a year ago. Under the commercial agreement, n8n’s workflow automation platform will be embedded natively within Joule Studio, SAP’s agent-building environment within SAP Business AI Platform, marking n8n’s arrival as enterprise AI infrastructure for one of the world’s largest software companies.
n8n already serves more than 1,400 enterprise customers alongside a community of 1.7 million monthly active developers and builders, ranging from Fortune 500 teams running mission-critical processes to independent developers building automation from scratch. The integration with Joule Studio will give enterprise teams a visual, flexible automation canvas supporting no-code, low-code, and pro-code developers that inherits SAP’s security and compliance standards from day one. With more than 1,000 integrations spanning business tools, database platforms, and AI models, n8n inside Joule Studio will allow teams to connect SAP systems to their broader technology stack in minutes.
Unlike conventional workflow tools, n8n is built for the agentic era, supporting multi-agent orchestration that allows AI systems to identify business events, coordinate decisions, and trigger downstream actions within an auditable and customizable environment compatible with most AI models. The platform also enables organizations to maintain sovereignty over their data, making it a natural fit for enterprises operating under GDPR, sector-specific regulations, or internal data residency requirements, removing one of the most substantial barriers to AI adoption at scale in regulated industries.
