Nanit: $50 Million Growth Round Funding Raised To Expand AI-Based Infant Health And Development Insights

Nanit, a New York-based baby monitoring technology company used by more than one million families, has raised a $50 million growth capital round to expand beyond sleep tracking into a broader, real-time view of infant health and early development. The financing was led by Springcoast Partners, with participation from Upfront Ventures and JVP.

Founded in 2014, Nanit has positioned its camera and companion software as an all-in-one platform that combines baby monitoring with features such as real-time cough detection, clinician-ready video clips, and a personalized sleep coach. The company said the new capital will accelerate development of its AI-powered Parenting Intelligence System, a product scheduled to roll out in 2026 that is designed to identify early signals tied to speech and language development, motor skills, cognitive patterns, and other developmental indicators.

Nanit framed the expansion as an effort to bring the kind of continuous, personalized health measurement common in adult wellness tools into a stage of life that is often evaluated through infrequent checkups and broad milestones. The company highlighted the importance of the first years of life, noting that early care and development can shape longer-term outcomes, while also arguing that the current health ecosystem lacks infrastructure for individualized, ongoing insight and early intervention at the same level of rigor as in adult tracking.

The company said its current sleep-related products already provide nightly summaries, automatic sleep and nap tracking, and age-based guidance through a single Sleep Score. Over time, Nanit aims to consolidate its sleep insights into a unified framework that interprets data, detects emerging patterns, and delivers more precise recommendations to caregivers between pediatric visits.

As part of the 2026 Parenting Intelligence System launch, Nanit said the platform will track and integrate a wider set of developmental and physiological indicators over time, including:

  1. Personalized sleep guidance
  2. Key health metrics
  3. Movement signatures and breathing patterns
  4. Motor skill milestones
  5. Speech and language patterns
  6. Trends that may predict metabolic, emotional, or cognitive challenges

Nanit also highlighted engagement and outcomes metrics tied to its existing system, stating that babies using the platform sleep 10% longer on average, which it equated to 36 extra nights of rest per year for parents. The company said families continue using Nanit products beyond age four, and that more than 70% of its active camera users rely on the product well past that age.

The company emphasized that it continues to invest in privacy, security, and encryption as it adds AI-powered capabilities. Through its Nanit Lab initiative, the company said it works with more than 30 academic and clinical partners and maintains what it describes as the world’s largest dataset on infant sleep, spanning more than 5 billion hours from more than one million babies across 100-plus countries, which it uses to validate and strengthen its models.

KEY QUOTES:

“Adults now track sleep, stress, and health patterns to spot trends and intervene early, yet babies, the group that benefits most from early insight, have no comparable system for monitoring or predictive guidance, As the technology leader in this space, expanding beyond sleep into a holistic view of early health and development was the natural next step. We envision a future where people can track and access their comprehensive health data from birth to 100 years old. That’s a powerful gift to the next generation.”

Anushka Salinas, Chief Executive Officer of Nanit

“We’ve spent years learning what a baby’s behavior and health signals are really telling us. Now, we’re teaching technology to translate those signals into meaningful insights, so parents can understand and respond to their baby in real time. We’re not just building smarter monitors, we’re helping build smarter, more confident parents.”

Tor Ivry, Nanit Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer

“Nanit has consistently been at the forefront of transforming how parents understand and care for their children. We believe the company is uniquely positioned to leverage advances in AI to deliver not only peace of mind, but also actionable health insights that can shape development. We are proud to partner with Anushka and the Nanit team as they expand their mission to redefine parenting technology.”
