Naoma: Interview With Co-Founder & CEO Dmitry Zakharov About The Conversational AI Video Agent Company

Naoma builds conversational AI video agents that deliver personalized, live B2B software product demos on demand. Pulse 2.0 interviewed Naoma co-founder and CEO Dmitry Zakharov to learn more.

Background Of The Founders

Naoma AI has three co-founders:

1.) Dmitry Zakharov, CEO. A second-time founder with one exit (previous business reached about $2 million annual revenue with 3x YoY growth).

2.) Dima Ivanouski, CRO, former Head of SMB Sales at PandaDoc, where he scaled the SMB segment from scratch to $50 million ARR in the US

3.) David Klassen, CTO, a senior engineer with 15+ years in IT (ex-Realeyes, Delivery Hero; also led interactive TV projects with major telecom operators).

Formation Of The Company

How did the idea for the company come together? Zakharov said:

“Naoma came from a firsthand sales reality: B2B buyers increasingly want a rep-free experience but still have to wait for a sales slot.”

“Dima ran a high-velocity SMB motion at PandaDoc where small deals had demand, but the economics of human demos didn’t always work. When companies push those prospects to self-serve, conversion and buying confidence drop. We started Naoma to give every prospect an instant, personalized demo – without needing to scale headcount.”

Core Products

What are the company’s core products and features? Zakharov explained:

“Naoma is an AI video sales agent that runs personalized live demos inside a real product account, answers questions by voice, adapts the flow in real time, qualifies leads, and routes qualified leads to a sales calendar or checkout – without a human rep. Key features include: in-browser automation (Naoma can show products, websites, presentations), supporting to over 30 languages, and avatar options (human-like or branded mascots)”

Challenges Faced

Have you faced any challenges in your sector of work recently? Zakharov acknowledged:

“The biggest operational challenge in this category is customer onboarding – getting an agent to reliably demo each client’s product. We’re tackling it by building automation around product understanding and demo flow creation (exploration + script generation).”

“On the product side, we’ve also been iterating quickly on the video experience and streaming reliability to keep demos ‘instant’ and high-quality, consistent with our promise of near-immediate demo access.”

Customer Success Stories

Can you share any specific customer success stories? Zakharov highlighted:

“Yes – our first client, UXPressia, is a good example. UXPressia is a customer journey mapping and persona platform with a feature-rich product and a relatively small team, so they needed a way to engage and qualify website visitors without pulling their Sales reps into every early-stage conversation.

They embedded Naoma’s AI video agent directly on their site. When a visitor arrives, Naoma offers an instant, interactive video demo — a real conversation, not a chatbot – walking them through dashboards, journey maps, personas, and the AI persona builder, answering questions as they come up. It qualifies each visitor in real time, then routes every lead into their CRM and flags the sales-ready ones.

The numbers from the engagement: around 15% of visitors who saw the demo button started a live AI demo, versus the 1–2% typical of a traditional book-a-demo form, with about a 5-minute average conversation. Naoma conducted 529 demos, created 34 Sales Qualified Leads that progressed into the pipeline, and closed 3 deals on its own without human involvement, including a full one-year license paid upfront. All of it ran 24/7 across 10+ languages a single-language team could never have staffed for.

And what I like most about this one is that it’s not just lead capture. The agent actually closed paid deals end to end, and every demo comes back with a full transcript and signals that feed marketing and product too.”

Funding/Revenue

Are you able to discuss funding and/or revenue metrics? Zakharov revealed:

“We can share that we closed a $440,000 pre-seed round, led by ULTRA VC, with participation from Sparkle Ventures, DMTech VC and angels, to fund product development and customer acquisition. Beyond that, we’re not disclosing detailed revenue metrics publicly yet.”

Total Addressable Market (TAM)

What total addressable market (TAM) size is the company pursuing? Zakharov assessed:

“Based on our market work, we’re pursuing a TAM of about $8.4 billion annual recurring revenue (ARR).”

Differentiation From The Competition

What differentiates the company from its competition? Zakharov affirmed:

“Most demo automation tools rely on preset walkthroughs or prerecorded videos. Naoma delivers live, conversational, video-first demos the same way your sales representative works, that adapt in real time, inside a real product environment, embedded directly on the customer’s site/product (not a scheduled call). ”

“Technically, we’re enabled by recent leaps in AI voice, video tech, and browser automation that make live, qualified demos without a human feasible for the first time.”

Future Company Goals

What are some of the company’s future goals? Zakharov concluded:

“Near term: growth traction to reach $1 million ARR, deepen products and CRM integrations, and improve our product.”

“Longer term: we want to redefine how B2B products are sold. And I believe we can do it!”
