Nauta, an AI-based logistics orchestration platform for importers, announced a seed funding round of $7 million, led by Construct Capital and Predictive. Nauta aims to transform global logistics for stakeholders across the value chain by integrating artificial intelligence, with a focus initially on importers.
The global logistics industry faces increasing complexity due to supply chain reconfiguration and fragmentation, tariff fluctuations, and climate-related disruptions. Despite the movement of goods worth trillions of dollars annually, importers still depend on emails, spreadsheets, and legacy, siloed systems to monitor and manage intermodal, global shipments at the container level, thereby depriving them of the control now attainable through AI.
Co-founded by Valentina Jordan, who previously led product and engineering teams at the logistics unicorn Rappi, and Rafael Santiago, who led one of the foremost importing logistics companies in the Caribbean, Nauta addresses this challenge by providing importers—who possess, generate, and manage critical data—a unified, AI-powered platform serving as a single source of truth and control center. Through its adaptable, agentic capabilities, Nauta automates routine workflows, grants importers the control necessary to enhance margins, and facilitates agile, data-driven decision-making.
Since its launch in the first quarter of 2025, Nauta has commenced operations in seven countries and collaborates with leading distributors of internationally recognized brands, including New Balance, Ashley Furniture HomeStore, L’Oréal, Modelo, Moët & Chandon, among others.
With Nauta’s platform, importers have achieved reductions in detention costs of up to 80%, increased operator productivity by 30%, and improved container processing times by 75%. In addition to institutional funding, this funding round includes participation from angel investors such as Simón Borrero (CEO and co-founder of Rappi), Waikit Lau (Founder of RemoteHQ), and Juan Jose Gonzales (CEO of Windmar Energy), as well as initial customers and partners, including Soriana, one of the largest retailers across the Americas.
KEY QUOTES:
“Nauta is built by and for operators. We truly understand the variability in their day-to-day work and are focused on helping them control the controllable. In logistics, every container tells its own story, but the systems involved rarely speak the same language. With AI, Nauta helps companies make faster, more proactive decisions about every shipment, reducing risk, improving cash flow, and growing margins.”
Valentina Jordan, CEO and co-founder of Nauta
“Supply chains don’t just move goods, they also move data and money. That complexity increases significantly with cross-border shipments, where every touchpoint adds layers of documentation, compliance, and coordination. With so many stakeholders and systems involved, Nauta’s AI platform is well-positioned to bring structure and visibility to this vital process, connecting the dots between every node, from manufacturers to ports to warehouses.”
Camila Saruhashi, Partner at Construct Capital
“Importers don’t just need visibility, they need the power to act before problems occur. We built Nauta because we lived through the pain of fragmented information and manual workflows prone to costly mistakes. Operators deserve modern AI tools that anticipate issues and enable action at the speed of trade.”
Rafael Santiago, COO and co-founder of Nauta
