Nauta Raises €60 Million First Close For Fund VI, Targeting €150 Million To €200 Million

Nauta has announced the first close of its sixth venture capital fund at €60 million, marking more than 20 years of investing in European technology companies. The fund will back B2B software and deep tech companies from pre-seed through Series A.

The British Business Bank is serving as an anchor limited partner, marking the fourth time it has invested in a Nauta fund. Other investors in the first close include SETT, Merifin Capital, Institut Català de Finances, and institutions and family offices across the UK, Continental Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.

About three-quarters of investors in the first close are returning LPs from previous Nauta funds, with the remainder new investors. Nauta expects to grow Fund VI to between €150 million and €200 million in the second half of 2027, bringing the firm’s total assets under management to about €750 million.

Nauta raised its first €50 million institutional venture fund in 2006 and has continued investing through technology shifts spanning mobile, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, automation, and quantum computing. The firm has also established opportunity funds that allow its investors to increase exposure to selected companies from its portfolio.

With offices in London and Barcelona, Nauta has backed more than 200 founders across 100 companies over the past two decades. The firm said its portfolio has generated nearly €3 billion in exit value through more than 25 exits, including companies such as Brandwatch, Holded, and Connectbase.

The firm’s primary strategy focuses on capital-efficient B2B software companies targeting large vertical markets such as travel, financial services, retail, and human resources. Through its Nauta Labs initiative, which operates within the same fund, Nauta also invests at the pre-seed stage in deep tech businesses across high-performance computing, AI infrastructure, cybersecurity, industrial automation, digital health infrastructure, and frontier energy technologies.

One of Nauta’s deep tech portfolio companies is Universal Quantum, which is developing a million-qubit quantum computer and recently raised a $100 million Series A. Nauta described the financing as the largest Series A raised by a UK-headquartered quantum computing company.

Other portfolio companies include Lodgify, which develops short-term rental management software; Unravel, an AI-powered travel discovery and booking platform; Acai Travel, which develops AI agents for travel customer support; and Berlin-based open-source cybersecurity company NetBird, which Nauta originally backed at the pre-seed stage and which recently raised a $10 million Series A.

Fund VI continues Nauta’s long-running focus on early-stage European technology companies while expanding its exposure to newer areas such as AI infrastructure, automation, cybersecurity, quantum computing, and other deep tech categories.
