NavigateAI: $25 Million Raised To Build AI Copilot For The Physical World

By Amit Chowdhry • May 28, 2026

NavigateAI officially launched with $25 million in seed funding to build AI copilots for field workers, aiming to improve how physical spaces are built and maintained. The company was founded by former Eric Wu co-founder Eric Wu and is focused on helping reskill and upskill workers across the trillion-dollar trades economy.

The funding round was led by Elad Gil with participation from Khosla Ventures, Lennar, Tishman Speyer, and Helix Electric. Additional angel investors included executives and founders from companies such as Ramp, Invitation Homes, Harvey.ai, Decagon, DoorDash, Instacart, and Lyft.

NavigateAI said it is building what it describes as the “trusted AI copilot for the physical world,” placing AI-powered assistants directly into the hands of workers in the field. The platform is designed to provide real-time upskilling, automate quality control, and help teams build projects faster and more efficiently.

The company highlighted the growing labor shortage in construction and skilled trades, noting that the U.S. spends approximately $2.2 trillion annually on construction projects while facing a shortage of hundreds of thousands of workers each year. NavigateAI said this issue is becoming increasingly urgent due to demand tied to data centers, housing, electrical grid modernization, and reshoring manufacturing efforts.

NavigateAI’s platform includes several core capabilities, including AI-powered upskilling and coaching, AI project scoping, AI-driven quality control, and on-demand access to codes, spec sheets, manufacturer manuals, and internal company playbooks.

The system operates in real time on smartphones equipped with cameras, enabling field workers to receive guidance while on the job. Through a partnership with Meta, the experience can also run hands-free on Meta smart glasses.

The company said it is already working with launch partners across multiple industries, including Lennar, Roofstock, Tishman Speyer, and AIM, an electrical trade school organization.

NavigateAI’s founding team includes talent from Opendoor, Stripe, DeepMind, Stanford University, and Google. The company is headquartered in San Francisco.
