NVIDIA announced that it will invest $2 billion in Nebius as part of a strategic partnership to develop next-generation hyperscale cloud infrastructure for artificial intelligence.
The collaboration is designed to accelerate the buildout of Nebius’s AI-focused cloud platform and support the rapidly rising demand for high-performance computing as enterprises and developers increasingly deploy AI systems. The companies said the partnership deepens their engineering collaboration across the entire AI technology stack, from hardware architecture to production software.
Nebius plans to deploy more than 5 gigawatts of NVIDIA-powered computing infrastructure by the end of 2030. The capacity expansion will be supported through early adoption of NVIDIA’s latest accelerated computing platforms and system architectures.
The partnership includes joint work on AI factory design, inference infrastructure, and fleet management systems. NVIDIA will provide Nebius with access to engineering support, system design processes, and early hardware samples to help optimize large-scale AI data center deployments.
The companies will also collaborate on building advanced inference systems and agentic AI stacks using NVIDIA software technologies, models, and libraries. The goal is to create a platform that enables developers and enterprises to train, deploy, and operate AI agents and applications at scale.
Nebius said the collaboration builds on its ongoing deployment of NVIDIA infrastructure across its global platform, including multiple gigawatt-scale AI factories in the United States. The companies aim to scale the infrastructure required to support the growing demand for AI workloads worldwide.
Nebius, headquartered in Amsterdam and listed on Nasdaq under the ticker NBIS, provides a full-stack AI cloud platform that supports everything from data management and model training to production deployment. The company serves startups and enterprises building AI products, services, and autonomous agents.
NVIDIA said the investment reflects its confidence in Nebius’s engineering capabilities and its strategy to build an AI cloud platform specifically designed for AI-native workloads rather than adapting traditional cloud infrastructure.
KEY QUOTES:
“AI is at another inflection point — agentic AI, driving incredible compute demand and accelerating infrastructure buildout. Nebius is building an AI cloud designed for the agentic era, fully integrated from silicon to software and powered by NVIDIA’s next-generation accelerated compute. Together, we are scaling the cloud to meet the surging global demand for intelligence.”
Jensen Huang, Founder And CEO, NVIDIA
“Nebius has been built for AI since day one — not adapted from a general-purpose cloud, but designed for what developers actually need. Now with NVIDIA, we are extending that throughout the stack — from gigawatt-scale AI factories to inference and software — as we build one of the first and largest clouds for all AI builders everywhere.”
Arkady Volozh, CEO, Nebius
