Nebius, a Nasdaq-listed AI cloud company, announced it has signed an agreement to acquire Tavily, positioning the deal as a move to embed real-time web search infrastructure directly into its AI cloud platform as enterprises accelerate adoption of autonomous, agentic systems. The transaction value was not disclosed, and Nebius said it expects the deal to close in the next few weeks, subject to customary closing conditions.
Nebius framed the acquisition as a step toward building a unified, full-stack environment where vertical AI companies and enterprises can build, tune, and run autonomous agents without stitching together multiple vendors. By bringing Tavily’s agentic search into the platform, Nebius aims to pair high-performance inference with real-time web grounding, enabling AI agents to navigate the web, verify facts, and execute complex tasks with stronger factual accuracy.
The company said Tavily’s technology will complement Nebius Token Factory, which it described as providing high-performance inference for agent reasoning. With Tavily’s real-time search layer added to the stack, Nebius is pitching a more integrated architecture for developers who need both compute and up-to-date information access to operate enterprise-grade agentic systems in production.
Tavily’s team, including founder and CEO Rotem Weiss, is expected to join Nebius and continue leading product development. Tavily will continue operating under its current brand while serving existing customers and expanding capabilities, with Nebius pointing to its global infrastructure and engineering resources as accelerants for scaling.
Nebius also tied the deal to its view of market timing, citing forecasts that the agentic AI market could expand from roughly $7 billion in 2025 to between $140 billion and $200 billion by the early 2030s, with agentic search positioned as a foundational enterprise capability as AI agents increase their share of internet queries. Tavily, according to the announcement, has logged more than 3 million monthly SDK downloads through organic developer-led growth, built a developer community of more than one million users, and counts Fortune 500 customers including IBM, alongside AI companies such as Cohere and Groq, with use cases spanning financial services, logistics, and enterprise operations.
