NEC Corporation announced that it has completed its acquisition of CSG Systems International, with its wholly owned subsidiary Netcracker Technology set to lead the combined business operations and integration efforts.
The transaction combines two complementary organizations focused on telecommunications, broadband, and digital service providers, creating an expanded global software business with capabilities spanning customer engagement, monetization, operations, AI-driven automation, and cloud-native platforms.
As part of the integration, Andrew Feinberg has been appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the combined organization. Netcracker will oversee the integration of CSG’s portfolio and accelerate the development of a unified AI-driven digital platform, while NEC will continue to provide governance, strategic direction, and global operational support.
CSG has established a strong market presence in business support systems, customer experience, and payment solutions across industries, including telecommunications, financial services, and healthcare. Netcracker brings expertise in digital BSS and OSS solutions, AI-driven automation, and cloud-native platforms. Together, the organizations aim to deliver a more comprehensive digital services platform with expanded geographic reach and customer coverage.
The combined portfolio is designed to help service providers manage the full lifecycle of digital services while leveraging AI-driven automation to improve operational efficiency and optimize business decisions. The companies said the integrated platform will support customers transitioning toward more agile, cloud-native and AI-enabled business models while maintaining the scale and reliability needed for mission-critical environments.
NEC stated that the acquisition strengthens its global digital services strategy and enhances its ability to deliver integrated end-to-end solutions to enterprise and service provider customers worldwide.
