Neko Health raised $700 million in Series C funding to open its first U.S. clinics and expand its technology-driven preventive healthcare platform across additional markets. The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and co-led by O.G. Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Atomico, General Catalyst, and Lakestar. New investors included Liberty City Ventures, Positive Sum, and BDT & MSD. David Ofer of O.G. Venture Partners is expected to join Neko Health’s board of directors, subject to regulatory approval.

The financing follows Neko Health’s $260 million Series B round in January 2025. The company plans to use the new capital to launch clinics in New York and other U.S. cities, expand its operations in Europe, and continue investing in clinical research, proprietary hardware, software, and diagnostic technology.

Neko Health was founded by Spotify co-founder Daniel Ek and Hjalmar Nilsonne. Its core offering is the Neko Health Scan, a 60-minute, non-invasive, and radiation-free health assessment designed to identify potential medical risks before symptoms develop.

The scan captures millions of health data points using proprietary sensors and blood analysis. It evaluates skin health, including moles and marks, blood abnormalities, pre-diabetes risk, and factors associated with metabolic syndrome, stroke, and heart attacks. Results are delivered within minutes and reviewed during an in-person consultation with a medical professional.

Neko Health recently added body composition measurements and clinician reviews of wearable-device data to the scan. The updates are intended to provide members with a broader view of their health during appointments and between annual visits.

The company develops its hardware, software, and consumer experience internally, allowing it to manage the full clinical process and introduce product updates across its locations. Its newest Stockholm clinic uses the next generation of its Derma-2, Echo-2, and Spectrum-2 medical devices, which capture higher volumes of skin, heart, and circulation data while increasing automation.

Neko Health has expanded across Sweden and the United Kingdom since opening its first clinic in February 2023. Its network includes locations in Stockholm, Manchester, Birmingham, and several parts of London, including Marylebone, Spitalfields, Covent Garden, and Victoria.

More than 350,000 people have joined the company’s waitlist or registered for a scan, while over 100,000 people have completed one in the U.K. and Sweden. Neko Health said approximately 75% of members book and prepay for their next annual scan before leaving their appointment.

The company also reported signs that early detection is improving outcomes. Three out of four returning members who previously had severe or potentially life-threatening conditions were subsequently in good health or had their condition under control. Five of seven major biomarkers also showed statistically significant improvement between members’ first and second scans.

The Series C included investments from several prominent individuals, including Ari Emanuel, Claudia Schiffer, Sir Matthew Vaughn, Danny Meyer, Jimmy Iovine, Maria Sharapova, Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan, Thierry Henry, Tim Ferriss, and will.i.am.

Neko Health plans to continue expanding its global clinical network while developing preventive health tools that make detailed biological assessments more accessible. People joining the company’s waitlist will receive priority access to its first New York clinic.

KEY QUOTES:

“Over the past eighteen months, Neko Health has demonstrated remarkable innovation and growth, attacking one of the largest markets in the world with breakthrough technology, proven consumer demand, and a clear path to global scale. We believe this is one of the most important healthcare companies of our generation, and we’re proud to deepen our partnership as they continue to reimagine prevention.”

Bejul Somaia, Global Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners

“We’ve known Hjalmar, Daniel and the founding team at Neko Health for years and have deep respect for their vision to redefine health for more than just the privileged few, on a global scale. They execute at a level few can match.”

Eyal Ofer, O.G. Venture Partners

“For more than 20 years, I’ve tracked every metric imaginable to optimize health and performance. It’s expensive, complicated, and fragmented. I’ve invested in Neko because they offer beautiful simplicity, and only simplicity scales: you get a high-definition map of your biology in less than 60 minutes, explained by an unhurried doctor, all in one location and for £299. No one else can do this. And believe me, as I’ve toured their R&D lab in Sweden: there’s a lot more coming.”

Tim Ferriss, Author and Investor

“This funding is a strong vote of confidence in what we set out to do when we opened our first clinic three years ago: a completely new healthcare experience designed to keep people healthy, catch problems early and help prevent disease before it even starts. With this round, we’re taking that mission to the US for the first time, while continuing to invest in the research and technology that make prevention possible at scale. The clearest proof is in our members: the vast majority of our members return after their first scan, and when they do, their health markers move in the right direction.”
