Neros: $75 Million Series B Raised To Scale Domestic Drone Manufacturing And Support U.S. Defense Programs

Neros has secured a $75 million Series B funding round led by Sequoia Capital, with participation from Vy Capital US and Interlagos. The funding follows a period of rapid production scaling, increased revenue, and successful deployments across key U.S. defense customers. The company recently fulfilled a significant drone order for the U.S. Marine Corps. And it was selected as a primary supplier of first-person view drones to the U.S. Army through its Purpose-Built Attritable Systems program.

With this round, Neros has now raised more than $120 million to date. The company will use the new capital to expand its manufacturing capacity and reinforce a China-free domestic supply chain. Funding will support large-scale production of the company’s Archer and Archer Strike drone platforms and its Ground Control Systems. It will also allow the company to deepen vertical integration efforts by insourcing key production steps and investing in allied component suppliers.

Neros also plans to significantly expand research and development to advance new autonomous drone architectures. The company aims to deliver advanced, domestically produced systems that can be rapidly adapted to evolving battlefield requirements.

The funding also reflects what the company describes as a growing global recognition among defense organizations of the strategic importance of secure and scalable drone manufacturing. All participants in the round were prior backers of Neros, signaling continued confidence in its market position and execution.

Neros is also expanding international operations. The company will continue building out its Kyiv office and has already delivered systems to the UK Ministry of Defense. The company is hiring across its Los Angeles headquarters as well as operations in Kyiv, London, and Washington, D.C.

Founded in 2023, Neros has shipped thousands of systems to both Ukraine and U.S. defense agencies. The company designs most of its components internally and focuses on improving mission-critical performance factors, including resistance to electronic warfare.

KEY QUOTES:

“Neros is one of the fastest companies in history to be awarded meaningful defense contracts. It shows how mission critical FPV drones are.”

Shaun Maguire, Partner, Sequoia Capital

“Drone performance and high-throughput production go hand in hand. Neros should be the first one million drone factory in the United States.”

Achal Upadhyaya, Founder and CEO, Interlagos

“Our Series B fundraise represents the culmination of more than two years of company growth, focused product development, and aggressive iteration based on real battlefield results. The credit goes to the relentless efforts of our entire team that has gotten us to this point, and we are grateful to our investors who believe in our vision of reshoring an American drone industrial base.”

“Both government and private partners understand the critical gaps in the West’s drone manufacturing capabilities and are deploying the needed capital to start filling them. We’ve seen first-hand the positive attitude shift over the last eighteen months, but there’s still a long way to go. Fundamental challenges with drone technology and production will not be solved overnight, but Neros is committed to leading the charge.”
