Blackstone has announced a majority growth investment in NetBrain Technologies, a leader in Network Automation and AI, valued at $750 million.
This investment aims to accelerate innovation, expand NetBrain’s global presence, and enhance its AI-powered platform to meet increasing demand for intelligent network automation solutions.
NetBrain supports some of the world’s largest networks, including over one-third of the Fortune 500. The company has pioneered intent-based network automation, creating a digital twin of the network to automate manual tasks.
As enterprise networks become more complex, traditional automation tools have struggled to deliver value. NetBrain’s next-generation platform eliminates manual dependencies and shifts operational workloads to automation and AI, redefining network management from a device-centric to an intent-centric model. This results in faster outage resolution and improved security, often without human intervention.
Blackstone’s investment reflects its commitment to supporting technology companies that tackle significant enterprise challenges. NetBrain’s solutions address a critical need in the $30 billion NetOps market, where businesses must optimize IT operations and mitigate security risks. With no debt, substantial cash reserves, and consistent profitability, NetBrain is well-equipped to transform network automation and help organizations thrive in an AI-driven world.
Advisors/counsel: McDermott Will & Emery served as legal counsel to NetBrain. And Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP served as legal counsel to Blackstone.
