Netflix has announced a new round of subscription price increases across its U.S. plans, according to an official company statement reported by ABC News. The changes, detailed in coverage from ABC News, reflect the company’s continued push to invest in content and platform improvements while adjusting pricing to match the value it says it delivers to subscribers.

The updated pricing affects all tiers of Netflix’s service. The standard plan with ads will increase by $1 to $8.99 per month. The standard ad-free plan will rise by $2 to $19.99 per month, while the premium plan, which includes features like 4K and HDR streaming and support for multiple devices, will increase by $2 to $26.99 per month.

Netflix is also raising the cost of its “extra member” feature, which lets users share their accounts with people outside their household. The add-on will now cost $7.99 per month for the ad-supported plan and $9.99 per month for the ad-free plan, each up by $1.

The company indicated that new subscribers will pay the updated prices immediately, while existing subscribers will see the changes reflected in their next billing cycle.

This marks another price adjustment following a 2025 increase, underscoring a broader trend among streaming platforms to raise subscription fees as competition intensifies and content costs continue to climb.
