New Private Equity has completed a significant minority investment in ONE group solutions, a Luxembourg-headquartered provider of third-party fund management company and governance services to asset managers. ONE’s founders and management team will retain a substantial ownership stake, and CEO Steve Bernat will continue leading the business.
Founded in 2019, ONE serves more than 200 clients with close to 200 professionals across eight offices. The company said it has been growing at more than 35% annually, supported by governance technology and a service model spanning ManCo and AIFM services, regulatory and compliance consulting, asset-manager support, and corporate services.
NPE plans to use its investment and operating resources to expand ONE’s technology, data, AI, and automation capabilities. The firms have already begun work on a unified data and ontology layer across ONE’s governance workflows, along with improvements to core systems. NPE’s Foundry platform is being used as part of the effort to deploy applications and AI on top of ONE’s operating infrastructure.
The investment will also support geographic expansion. ONE plans to deepen its presence in Luxembourg, Ireland, and the UK while growing more aggressively in the United States, where asset managers are increasingly looking for independent governance partners with technology-enabled infrastructure.
The transaction received approval from Luxembourg’s Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier. White & Case, PwC, and AlixPartners advised NPE, while ONE was advised by PwC Luxembourg and Venturous. Management described the partnership as a way to scale the platform without diluting service quality or the client relationships that have supported the company’s growth.
