New Relic Launches Infrastructure 360 To Provide End-To-End Visibility For AI Workloads

New Relic has launched Infrastructure 360, a new observability solution designed to give platform engineering, infrastructure and operations teams an end-to-end view of cloud resources, dependencies and configuration changes as organizations scale artificial intelligence workloads.

Infrastructure 360 builds on New Relic’s existing infrastructure observability capabilities while adding a dedicated user interface and deeper infrastructure context.

The company is positioning the product as an operational foundation for teams that need to balance development velocity, reliability, cost and security while managing increasingly complex cloud environments.

New Relic said AI-driven workloads can cause infrastructure to scale and change rapidly, increasing the risk of unmonitored changes and configuration drift.

According to the company, half of major production outages stem directly from untracked infrastructure changes.

When incidents occur, engineers can be forced to move between multiple disconnected tools to determine what is running, what changed and whether all relevant infrastructure is actually being monitored.

Infrastructure 360 is designed to address that fragmentation by bringing information about cloud resources, monitoring coverage, dependencies and configuration changes into a unified environment.

The platform can automatically discover resources across connected Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure accounts without requiring an agent.

That discovery process is intended to show teams what infrastructure exists regardless of whether it is already being monitored.

Infrastructure 360 can also identify gaps in instrumentation and provide guided onboarding workflows to help teams address missing monitoring coverage before it creates troubleshooting blind spots.

Another major capability is configuration change tracking.

The platform automatically captures and stores change events across AWS and Azure service configurations as well as Kubernetes object manifests.

Engineers can use a Configuration Explorer to examine property-level differences before and after a change and correlate those updates with spikes or other shifts in application performance.

New Relic is also expanding dependency mapping beyond traditional application-to-host relationships.

Infrastructure 360 can map connections between applications and underlying cloud networks, load balancers, application gateways, databases, Kubernetes environments and other infrastructure components.

That broader topology is intended to help engineering teams identify where an issue originated and understand which applications or systems could be affected.

The data collected by Infrastructure 360 will also support New Relic’s AI and automation capabilities.

The platform’s dependency and configuration-change information will serve as an additional data foundation for New Relic Autopilot, the company’s set of automated site reliability engineering agents.

New Relic Autopilot is designed to investigate incidents, explain what is happening and help remediate problems using real-time information from an organization’s environment.

By providing richer infrastructure relationships and change history, New Relic expects Infrastructure 360 to help those agents make more accurate and context-aware decisions.

Infrastructure 360 also gives platform engineering, infrastructure and operations teams a consolidated workflow spanning reliability, cost and security considerations.

Active alerts, observability gaps and infrastructure configuration changes can be accessed through the same environment.

The company sees that visibility as increasingly important as enterprises deploy production AI systems that depend on fast-changing infrastructure and require higher levels of operational control.

Infrastructure 360 will become available to New Relic customers in public preview on October 13.

KEY QUOTES:

“Unlike legacy monitoring platforms that force engineers to piece together host data across fragmented product silos, New Relic consolidates infrastructure, applications, and logs into a single, unified database. With Infrastructure 360, we leverage this single-source-of-truth architecture to track exact configuration changes and deep cross-stack dependencies in real time. By eliminating the blind spots and data friction common in multi-tool setups, we deliver the rock-solid, high-fidelity telemetry engine required to keep complex production AI applications running with absolute stability and predictability.”
