NextGen Healthcare — a leading provider of ambulatory-focused technology solutions — announced it is buying Topaz Information Solutions. Topaz is a healthcare solutions company that is dedicated to meeting the needs of behavioral health and social services organizations. The terms of the deal were undisclosed.
And with this acquisition, NextGen Healthcare is now positioned to improve the delivery of integrated and collaborative care in the behavioral health market thus potentially reducing the cost of caring for millions of Americans while improving outcomes.
The acquisition — which includes all assets of TopazIS — had actually completed in the first week of October. And all employees of TopazIS have joined the NextGen Healthcare team.

In a behavioral health research study published by the National Council for Behavioral Health and Cohen Veterans Network called “America’s Mental Health 2018,” it said that demand for mental health services is strong and growing. And nearly 6 in 10 (56%) Americans have sought or want to seek mental health services either for themselves or for a loved one. But access is the number one challenge.
NextGen Healthcare addresses the accessibility challenge by providing an integrated platform which effectively allows for providers to coordinate care and treat the whole patient.
