NextPlat Acquires Pensacola-Area Pharmacy For $1.49 Million

NextPlat has completed its acquisition of an independent pharmacy near Pensacola, Florida, for approximately $1.49 million in cash, expanding its PharmcoRx healthcare operations into northwest Florida.

NextPlat acquired the pharmacy and its inventory for total cash consideration of $1,485,439.

The pharmacy generated approximately $5.6 million in sales during the year ended December 31, 2025.

NextPlat said the acquired business was profitable, maintained positive working capital and operated with a debt-free balance sheet.

The company expects the acquisition to contribute to growth and profitability in its PharmcoRx segment during the fourth quarter.

The transaction expands NextPlat’s pharmacy footprint into the Pensacola market and the broader Florida Panhandle.

NextPlat plans to integrate the location with its existing PharmcoRx network and introduce additional higher-margin healthcare services in the region.

Those offerings include contracted services for 340B healthcare providers, long-term care organizations and senior living communities.

The company sees an opportunity to expand these services in northwest Florida, where it said such offerings are largely unavailable today.

Following the acquisition, PharmcoRx operates five pharmacies serving patients across northern, central and southern Florida.

The business provides prescription fulfillment, medication management, same-day delivery and coordination with healthcare providers.

PharmcoRx also provides medication fulfillment, claims management and compliance reporting for 340B providers, long-term care organizations, senior living communities and government agencies.

NextPlat said it continues to evaluate additional acquisitions of established and profitable community pharmacy operators that could diversify its healthcare business and expand its presence beyond traditional mass-market retail pharmacy models.

KEY QUOTES:

“This acquisition synergistically expands our pharmacy footprint in Florida, adding access to the large Pensacola market and to the greater panhandle region where we have an opportunity to rapidly introduce our full array of high-value service offerings to local patients and providers. Our teams are quickly working to integrate this pharmacy into our growing PharmcoRx network and see a clear path to enhancing its profitability as we layer in our higher-margin contracted services for 340B, long-term care and senior living providers across a region where those offerings are largely unavailable today. Looking ahead, as we continue to grow organically, we are actively exploring additional opportunities to acquire well-established, profitable community operators that can provide us with diversification and further differentiate our business from traditional mass market retail pharmacies.”
