Nexus IT announced the acquisition of TecServ Inc., a Salt Lake City-based industrial technology services firm, marking the company’s 11th acquisition as it continues its effort to become one of the top 10 managed service providers (MSPs) and managed security service providers (MSSPs) in the United States.
The acquisition strengthens Nexus IT’s position in its home market of Salt Lake City while expanding the company’s capabilities into industrial technology and operational technology (OT) services. By integrating TecServ’s expertise, Nexus IT aims to bring its cybersecurity, compliance, and managed IT capabilities, developed through serving healthcare, financial services, life sciences, and other regulated industries, into industrial environments where uptime and OT security are critical.
TecServ has built a reputation for delivering industrial technology services through rapid response, vendor-neutral guidance, and long-term customer relationships. Following the acquisition, TecServ’s clients will gain access to Nexus IT’s broader portfolio of cybersecurity, cloud, and compliance solutions while maintaining the local service model and client relationships that have defined TecServ’s business.
The transaction represents another step in Nexus IT’s ongoing programmatic acquisition strategy. The company has been actively expanding through M&A and is supported by a $60 million growth facility from Metropolitan Partners Group, with strategic leadership from Diatonic Healthcare.
