NiCE To Buy Cognigy In $955 Million Deal For Boosting AI-Based Customer Experience

NiCE, a leader in AI-driven customer experience, has announced its agreement to acquire Cognigy, a prominent provider of conversational and agentic AI solutions. This acquisition aims to enhance AI-first customer service by integrating NiCE’s CXone Mpower platform with Cognigy’s advanced AI capabilities.

The combined platform will enable seamless management of AI agents across front and back-office operations, supported by purpose-built CX AI models. Cognigy.AI allows enterprises to deploy AI agents that provide human-like service in over 100 languages, enabling human agents to focus on more complex interactions.

Cognigy serves major brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Nestlé, and Lufthansa Group, with an estimated 80% annual recurring revenue (ARR) growth projected by 2026. NiCE’s Board of Directors has unanimously approved the acquisition, valuing Cognigy at approximately $955 million, which includes a $50 million time-bound holdback. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025, pending regulatory approvals.
