Nickolas Asset Management, in partnership with Kreate, has announced a $100 million investment to establish an advanced manufacturing facility in Tiffin, Ohio. This ambitious project includes a sprawling 542,000-square-foot facility dedicated to cutting-edge manufacturing operations to produce a range of consumer and professional products under the Kreate brand.
The substantial investment will cover essential elements, including property acquisition, state-of-the-art machinery, necessary infrastructure, tooling, and startup expenses associated with launching the manufacturing operation. With production slated to commence on October 1, 2026, this facility is poised to integrate the latest advancements in manufacturing technology.
At the heart of the operations, the facility will be equipped with 32 new ENGEL injection-molding machines, renowned for their efficiency and precision. The operation will also use FANUC collaborative robots, autonomous guided vehicles, and automated systems for packaging and pick-and-place robotics, ensuring a highly automated and efficient production line.
Kreate’s innovative Krevera computer-vision AI platform will play a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing processes. By connecting production equipment with quality control systems, the platform can identify deviations in the manufacturing process and communicate directly with machinery to implement autonomous corrections as needed. This AI integration aims to enhance product quality while streamlining operational efficiency.
Furthermore, this project is projected to generate approximately 120 jobs in various fields, providing opportunities across multiple disciplines such as manufacturing, engineering, robotics, automation, skilled trades, tool-and-die repair, maintenance, and logistics. This investment not only signifies a substantial economic boost for the Tiffin area but also showcases a commitment to innovation and advanced manufacturing techniques.
