Night Media, a talent management company representing some of the internet’s biggest creators, has raised $70 million in new financing from investors including StepStone Group, Founders Fund, House Capital, K5 Global, and PagsGroup as it looks to expand its footprint across media and entertainment.
The announcement was shared by Night founder and CEO Reed Duchscher, who said the funding will accelerate the company’s vision of building the largest internet-native media company and backing top digital creators across multiple verticals.
Over the past decade, audience attention has steadily shifted away from traditional entertainment and toward creators who built their platforms online. Duchscher said he believes the next generation of writers, producers, and directors is already emerging from social platforms and that these creators will increasingly retain leverage over the intellectual property they develop.
Night sees this shift extending beyond traditional digital video into music, sports, and live events, reflecting what it describes as a broader transformation in how media companies are formed and scaled. According to Duchscher, the most successful media companies of the future will be built by leaders who understand internet culture and the dynamics of attention online.
The $70 million in new capital will be used to continue investing in creators and expanding Night’s operations as it works to establish itself as a leading internet-first media company.
KEY QUOTE:
“The future state of talent will be internet native, excited to announce that Night has just raised $70 million. But why now? Over the last decade, we’ve watched attention shift from traditional entertainment to creators and artists born on the internet. I’ve always believed the next generation of writers, producers, and directors is currently making content on social platforms and will have leverage over the IP they create. And this isn’t limited to traditional media… It’s also happening across music, sports, and live events. That’s why we believe the most successful media companies of the future will be built by the people who understand internet culture and attention. The $70 million will help fund the largest internet-first media company and continue backing the world’s best artists and creators.”
