NineTen Media: Growing Digital Marketing Company Transforms And Gives Back

When we first spoke with Marcus Drenth earlier this year, he was launching the digital marketing venture, Dood Digital. Today, the company has seen rapid expansion and officially rebranded to NineTen Media. This move represents what NineTen Media has become and positions the agency for continued growth. 

The Transformation to NineTen Media

What attributed to the growth of NineTen Media? When did you know it was time to expand and rebrand? Drenth said:

“At the start, I knew there was a risk with the entrepreneurial nature of the digital marketing business. From the beginning, we’ve prioritized bringing together the right team of specialized marketers and web designers who help tailor to the client’s unique needs and deliver lasting results. As the team grew, so did the business, and at that point, it was time to reposition the company for the future.”

How has a growing team changed your business? Drenth shared:

“We collaborate with core industries, including medical and dental offices, automotive, publishing, and food/beverage to name a few. Our skill set and team have evolved, and it has equipped us to take on more projects and expand into adjacent markets. The variety of industries we serve keeps us agile and makes our work very rewarding.”

How is NineTen Media giving back to its community? Drenth shared:

“Generosity is not just about giving material things, but about sharing our time and skillsets with others.  NineTen Media plans to give back to non-profits by facilitating up to three pro bono projects per year. We’re currently seeking applicants for 2025. Giving back is at the heart of what we do. I feel extremely grateful that our business has expanded and it’s an honor to come alongside those who have dedicated their work to helping others in the community. We’re eager to provide our digital marketing and web design expertise to help local organizations grow.” 

Embracing The Unexpected

What is the most unexpected thing you’ve learned since starting the business? Drenth emphasized:

“Throughout my life, I have found it’s best to embrace the unexpected. In business, things never play out exactly according to the plan, so practicing patience (with yourself and others), being flexible, and keeping the big picture in mind go a long way. By focusing on where you are headed, making good decisions, and enjoying the journey, the rest typically falls into place.”
