Nitrogen, an advisor software leader, announced the launch of Nucleus, an agentic AI engine embedded directly into its platform, along with upgrades to its AI-powered tax planning tools. The unveiling took place during the company’s Winter 2026 product release keynote at the Fearless Investing Summit.
The Auburn, California-based company described Nucleus as a workflow-driven AI solution built inside its advisor platform rather than a standalone chatbot. The engine is designed to support advisors before, during, and after client meetings by enabling them to complete tasks such as setting risk targets, sending risk questionnaires, converting statements into portfolios, generating retirement income maps, drafting proposals, and preparing meeting talking points — all within a single client profile.
Unlike external AI assistants, Nucleus operates within Nitrogen’s structured data environment, with advisors maintaining control by approving actions before execution. The system is backed by SOC 2 and ISO-42001 compliance and reflects more than a decade of data security investment, according to the company.
Alongside the Nucleus launch, Nitrogen introduced enhancements across its broader product suite to improve efficiency and clarity in client conversations.
Within its tax planning product, Tax Center, the company added two new Report Elements to Reports Builder. The Tax Snapshot Report Element allows advisors to generate client-ready PDF summaries of tax data presented through visual formats. The Tax Transition Report Element is designed to illustrate the tax implications of moving from a current portfolio to a proposed one, helping advisors contextualize risk alignment decisions within tax considerations. Nitrogen also previewed a Roth Conversion Calculator, which is scheduled for release next month.
Nitrogen also introduced Premium Statement Capture, a $ 49-per-month human-verified tier that builds on its AI-powered statement conversion. Advisors can upload a PDF and receive a verified, ready-to-use portfolio without completing final data entry steps themselves.
The company also updated Income Center, formerly known as Planning Center, by adding Stress Tests that model real-world market events for retirement income planning. These simulations allow advisors to demonstrate how guaranteed income sources, such as annuities, can help stabilize retirement plans during adverse market conditions.
Performance improvements were also announced for the Research Center, Nitrogen’s investment research product. The platform now supports portfolios three times larger while improving load speeds by more than 3.5 times, enabling advisors to address complex investment questions during meetings in real time.
Nucleus will be available to all Nitrogen users on current plans at no additional cost. Beta access opens immediately for attendees of the Fearless Investing Summit.
Nitrogen said it is trusted by more than 30,000 advisors and reports an industry-leading Net Promoter Score of 71.
