Nivoda – a B2B marketplace for diamonds and jewelry – announced it has raised an $11 million Series A led by Headline. This funding round – along with James Morgan joining Nivoda as Chief Product Officer from Amazon Prime Europe last October – will enable the company to further invest in improving the customer experience for jewelry retailers and their consumers along with their suppliers globally. Plus Nivoda plans to expand by adding new products such as colored gems, shorter delivery times, and new payment and credit options to the platform.
Since launching in 2019, Nivoda’s marketplace has grown to include over 1.6 million natural, lab-grown, and melee stones (worth $4.1 billion), which is used by thousands of jewelry retailers worldwide. And Nivoda’s goal remains to build the trusted global marketplace for the jewelry industry by having a relentless focus on improving the customer experience, and making global trade simple. Plus Nivoda will be joining Headline’s portfolio of industry disruptors, including Acorns, Bumble, Gopuff, Sonos, and The RealReal.
Nivoda runs an online platform where jewelry suppliers and retailers worldwide can meet and trade with the click of a button. And Nivoda’s global logistics network takes care of fulfillment and quality control and provides on the ground support to both buyers and sellers. The platform offers several proprietary tools specifically created for the industry like dedicated sales tools to use in showrooms, API’s to add stock to e-commerce platforms and a Shopify plugin.
Additional funding comes from leading VCs throughout the U.S. and the UK, including Abstract Ventures, Entrepreneur First, Operator Partners and RiverPark Ventures.
