Nomios has acquired Portuguese cybersecurity services and IT consulting provider Orbcom, establishing its first presence in Portugal and expanding its operations across Southern Europe. The acquisition, completed in September 2026, adds a business generating approximately €15 million in annual revenue and serving more than 250 customers across several industries. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Porto, Orbcom provides cybersecurity, network infrastructure, cloud security and managed services to organizations across Portugal. The company has approximately 80 employees and serves customers in sectors including retail, energy, healthcare and education.
The acquisition represents an important geographic expansion for Nomios, giving the European cybersecurity and networking specialist an established operating platform in Portugal rather than requiring it to build a presence from the ground up.
Orbcom brings more than two decades of experience working with Portuguese organizations, along with an existing customer base, technical expertise and relationships with major cybersecurity technology providers.
Its capabilities complement Nomios’s existing portfolio of cybersecurity, secure networking and managed services, creating opportunities to broaden the services available to customers in Portugal.
The acquisition also strengthens Nomios’s relationships with several major technology companies.
Orbcom holds Diamond Innovator status in Palo Alto Networks’ NextWave Partner Program in Portugal, reflecting its established relationship with the cybersecurity technology provider.
The company also works with Netskope, Arista and Infoblox, giving it access to technologies spanning cloud security, networking, network management and related infrastructure services.
These partnerships are particularly relevant as enterprises increasingly adopt cloud-based applications, support distributed workforces and modernize their IT infrastructure.
Organizations frequently operate across multiple environments, requiring cybersecurity systems that can protect data, applications, users and networks regardless of where employees or computing resources are located.

Costa and several members of Orbcom’s management team will also become shareholders in Nomios Group.
The arrangement provides continuity for Orbcom’s customers and employees while aligning the local management team with Nomios’s longer-term development.
Retaining the company’s existing leadership could also help Nomios preserve Orbcom’s customer relationships, technical knowledge, and familiarity with the Portuguese market during the integration.
