Noor Companies has acquired FlatRate, a New York-based moving and logistics company founded in 1991, marking Noor’s expansion into the logistics, warehousing, and moving services market.
FlatRate is known for pioneering a guaranteed flat-rate pricing model in the moving industry and has built domestic and international operations over more than three decades.
Noor plans to combine FlatRate’s established brand and operating infrastructure with its own capabilities in staffing, workforce management, technology, business development, and scaling service-based companies.
A central part of the growth strategy will involve launching FlatRate franchise opportunities across the U.S. Noor intends to expand the business through a combination of company-operated locations and franchised operations, allowing entrepreneurs and business operators to use FlatRate’s brand, processes, and industry experience in additional markets.
FlatRate will continue operating under its existing brand following the acquisition. Noor also plans to broaden the company’s logistics and warehousing capabilities as it develops a larger national and international platform around the business.
The transaction represents Noor’s entry into a new industry while providing a foundation for a broader logistics strategy. The company sees opportunities to expand FlatRate’s reach beyond traditional moving services by combining its established customer base and operating model with Noor’s workforce and operational capabilities.
