Formation Of The Company

How did the idea for the company come together? Erdal said:

“Fifteen years ago, Nordic started with a vision—to transform what is possible with healthcare delivery through technology to improve lives. The idea was to meet a need in the market for health IT expertise and industry knowledge that would enable healthcare leaders to do what they do best: focus on patient care. Today, that vision is stronger and more evolved than ever. We are proud of our evolution from an Epic staffing firm to an end-to-end strategic IT partner serving more than 700 organizations worldwide. Our journey has been defined by innovation, collaboration, and hard work by our exclusively healthcare consulting team and the clients we serve.”

Core Products

What are the company’s core products and features? Erdal explained:

“Healthcare leaders worldwide trust us as their end-to-end strategic partner in navigating every step of health IT modernization. Our purpose is to help hospitals and health systems harness the power of technology to streamline operations, enhance clinician wellness, improve patient care, and achieve financial sustainability.”

“Nordic provides clients with Best in KLAS-recognized solutions, including strategic advisory, managed services, digital and cloud initiatives, EHR and ERP implementation and support, staffing, and more. Nordic laboratory services provide expert resources that enable hospitals and health systems to drive clinical transformation and address today’s ever-changing environment.”

“Clients benefit from our global presence, healthcare industry knowledge, and extensive experience across the top health IT platforms. Our team of more than 3,300 professionals brings deep healthcare experience, extensive technical knowledge, insightful strategic vision, and proven operational capabilities.”

Challenges Faced

Have you faced any challenges in your sector of work recently? Erdal acknowledged:

“Like others in the industry, we have navigated challenges from COVID and the post-COVID impact, including increased health consumer demand, regulatory changes, and the fast pace of technological innovation–all driving forces that require strategy, informed decision-making, and optimum use of investments. We learned a lot about the value of collaboration, resilience, and relationships, and intentionally put focus on our internal culture to retain our best talent and continually improve service to our clients. We restructured our organization to align our services to better meet our clients’ growing challenges and complex IT environments.”

Evolution Of The Company’s Technology

How has the company’s technology evolved since launching? Erdal noted:

“Nordic started as an Epic staffing firm and has since expanded its capabilities to include expertise in all major EHR and ERP applications, with teams dedicated to Epic, MEDITECH, Oracle Health, Infor, Workday, and other software applications such as ServiceNow. Nordic is known for moving both with the market and ahead of it, with expertise in the EHR and everything that integrates with it, helping clients embrace technology modernization, including cloud and AI innovation.”

Customer Success Stories

Can you share any specific customer success stories? Erdal highlighted:

“One modernization we’re particularly proud of is our work at Unity Health Toronto as part of their Project Connect digital transformation project. Project Connect is the hospital network’s largest clinical transformation undertaking to date. Healthtech, a Nordic Global Company, was part of the successful launch, providing expertise in Epic, knowledge of the local healthcare landscape, and on-the-ground support.”

“The Nordic-led Bon Secours Mercy Health team also led a successful Epic Hyperdrive migration as part of a large-scale modernization project to improve response times and enhance user experience. Given Hyperspace’s critical importance to clinical and administrative workflows, a seamless transition to Hyperdrive was essential to ensure BSMH’s 48 hospitals and 60,000+ employees could continue delivering high-quality patient care.”

“Another transformation is Alberta Health Systems’ (AHS) five-year Connect Care project. Launched in 2019 it resulted in the largest province-wide ICS digital transformation in Canada. The team provided AHS with advisory training support during the implementation of Epic’s EHR, including a phased approach that equipped staff with the necessary skills and knowledge to embrace the new change with confidence. The successful implementation resolved siloed systems to provide a holistic real-time view of patient data from any location, resulting in increased patient safety and reduced costs.”

Significant Milestones

What have been some of the company’s most significant milestones? Erdal cited:

“Nordic captured its significant milestone achievements as part of a 15-year anniversary reflection, giving accolades to clients, partners, and employees. Over that time, Nordic has introduced EHR consulting services, expanded managed services, introduced a strategic advisory practice, expanded globally with delivery centers in Ireland and the Philippines, and received an award for excellence by KLAS, an independent healthcare research and analyst firm.”

Differentiation From The Competition

What differentiates the company from its competition? Erdal affirmed:

“Nordic is an industry stand-out with its exclusive healthcare focus, longevity in the industry, commitment to customer satisfaction and ability to reinvent or expand its services to meet our clients’ evolving needs. Our workforce includes clinicians and physicians and some of the industry’s top technical, financial, and strategic thinkers. Through our collective experience, we understand the applications and underlying technology, integration and optimization opportunities, and the culture and processes surrounding the solutions unique to health systems and services.”

Future Company Goals

What are some of the company’s future goals? Erdal concluded:

“Nordic’s mission is to be the partner of choice for hospitals and health systems and the employer of choice for individuals who choose to build a career in healthcare consulting. That includes steadfast dedication to staying ahead of the industry, so we continue to help our clients leverage innovations to deliver quality care and patient-centered experiences.”
