Norton Rose Fulbright has announced the arrival of Daniel Lin as a partner in its corporate practice, working across the firm’s Sydney and Tokyo offices. Lin joins from Sidley, where he was co-managing partner of the Tokyo office, and brings extensive experience advising on energy, infrastructure, and general corporate transactions across Japan, Southeast Asia, the Americas, and Europe.
Lin’s practice centers on the development, funding, acquisition, and disposal of energy and infrastructure assets, including digital infrastructure, conventional power, and renewable energy projects. His clients include utilities, trading companies, infrastructure investors, general corporates, and financial institutions. He has deep experience advising lenders financing the development and acquisition of energy and infrastructure projects, and has built a strong track record advising on Japan outbound and inbound investments — a capability the firm said is a particular priority given growth targets in the Asia Pacific region following the integration of its Europe, Middle East, and Asia Pacific offices in 2025.
The appointment is the latest in a series of strategic hires for Norton Rose Fulbright in Australia, following partner additions in banking and finance, public M&A and equity capital markets, government, and intellectual property over the past year, as well as multiple partner promotions effective January 1, 2026.
KEY QUOTES:
