Norton Rose Fulbright is expanding its business practice group with the strategic addition of corporate finance partner Chip Gage, who will be based in the Dallas office. This move aligns with the firm’s commitment to enhancing its transactional practices and underscores its proactive response to the growing demand for expert counsel in leveraged and acquisition finance, particularly among middle-market private equity clients seeking tailored financial solutions.

Chip Gage joins the firm with an impressive track record spanning over 30 years in the legal field, most recently serving at Winston & Strawn. Throughout his career, he has refined his expertise in representing private equity sponsors, as well as their portfolio companies, in a range of complex debt financing transactions, both within the United States and internationally.

His extensive portfolio includes navigating intricate processes related to leveraged buyout financings, acquisition financings, leveraged recapitalizations, and the structuring of working capital facilities. He also possesses a strong proficiency in managing workouts and restructurings, providing clients with critical support during financially challenging situations.

In addition to his broad experience, Chip advises clients on a diverse array of credit facilities, encompassing senior secured loans, first- and second-lien arrangements, unitranche financing, mezzanine debt, subordinated loans, and asset-based credit facilities.

Chip Gage is part of a dynamic expansion within Norton Rose Fulbright’s transactions-focused business practice group. He follows the recent addition of corporate finance partner Jonathan (Jon) Riley, who also joined the Dallas office in June, along with Chicago partner Kyle Gann, who is a valued member of the firm’s transactional and regulatory insurance team. The firm has seen remarkable growth this year, having welcomed more than 40 new partners into its global business practice group, achieved through a combination of promotions and strategic lateral hires.

Licensed to practice law in both Texas and New York, Chip earned his law degree with honors from Duke University School of Law, a highly regarded institution known for its rigorous academic standards. In addition, he completed his undergraduate studies cum laude at Yale University.
