Noteefy Acquires Metolius Golf To Build Golf’s First Unified Demand And Revenue Intelligence Platform

Noteefy, a leading demand and revenue management platform for the golf industry, has acquired Metolius Golf, a data intelligence company serving more than 600 golf courses. Together, the combined business now powers roughly 1,500 courses, pairing Noteefy’s demand optimization tools with Metolius’s data and analytics layer to give operators a single system for managing both demand and revenue.

Metolius was built to solve a long‑standing problem in golf operations: fragmented data scattered across tee sheets, point‑of‑sale systems, accounting tools, CRMs, email platforms, and advertising channels. Its cloud platform aggregates this information into a unified data warehouse and delivers automated daily reporting on rounds mix, multi‑course revenue pace, sales forecasts, and proprietary weather‑adjusted performance benchmarks. By correlating hour‑by‑hour weather patterns with rounds and revenue, Metolius helps operators understand how their courses are truly performing.

Combined with Noteefy, which fills tee sheets, recaptures inventory from cancellations, reduces no‑shows, and uses AI to support pro shop and resort booking workflows, operators gain something that hasn’t existed in golf: 1) the ability to see demand before it converts, 2) compare it against real‑time performance, and 3) act on AI‑powered recommendations embedded directly into daily operations. The platform is designed to move course managers away from “gut feel” and last year’s numbers toward data‑driven decisions on pricing, staffing, and marketing.

As part of the acquisition, Metolius founder Ross Liggett will join Noteefy as Vice President of Data, leading data strategy, analytics, and customer intelligence. Liggett, recognized as one of golf’s most influential figures and a long‑time executive in multi‑course operations, will work directly with operators to translate data into measurable revenue growth. The combined platform’s AI layer learns from each course’s unique patterns, surfaces anomalies, answers questions in plain language, and recommends specific revenue, staffing, and marketing moves—bringing enterprise‑grade decision support to independent courses and regional management groups.

Noteefy’s existing suite includes:

  1. Waitlist tools that send real-time alerts when preferred tee times open up due to cancellations.

  2. Confirm capabilities that automate booking confirmations, reduce no‑shows, and free up otherwise unsold inventory.

  3. An AI Pro Shop Assistant that handles routine golfer inquiries 24/7, saving staff time.

  4. Lead Management for destination resorts like Kohler and Streamsong, using AI to capture and convert high‑value booking inquiries.

Metolius adds:

  1. Automated daily revenue and rounds reporting across single and multi‑course portfolios.

  2. Sales pace and forecasting for memberships, outings, and banquets.

  3. Merchandising insights by product, vendor, and customer.

  4. Machine learning‑powered weather benchmarking.

The deal comes as golf enters a new phase of data‑driven growth. Courses generated more than $37 billion in revenue in 2023, with on‑course golfer numbers and rounds played at multi‑decade highs. Yet operators still lose over $1 billion annually from unfilled cancellations and no‑shows, largely because they lack integrated tools to see and act on demand in real time. Noteefy and Metolius aim to bring to golf the kind of unified revenue and demand platforms that have long been standard in hotels and restaurants.

KEY QUOTES:

“Metolius turned our fragmented data sources into a real-time, portfolio-wide source of truth for every decision-maker in the company. Combined with AI and embedded into our support model, it’s become the operational backbone for how we run our courses. Together with Noteefy, which we use for demand management, we are excited to see the continued impact this platform can make for our 60+ course portfolio.”

John Pugliese, CEO, Landscapes Unlimited & Landscapes Golf Management

“Few people have both the technology and revenue management experience that Ross brings, and that combination uniquely positions our team to help operators turn new technology like AI into real revenue. We’re only in the early stages of what this makes possible.”

Jake Gordon, CEO and Co‑Founder, Noteefy

“Our data model and AI handle that work, flagging anomalies, answering questions in plain English, and recommending the exact revenue, staffing, and marketing moves that drive results. And it gets smarter with every round. Combined with Noteefy, the decision-to-action system that once belonged only to the biggest enterprises now belongs to every operator.”
