Novara announced the acquisition of Ensogo, an AI-native sustainability platform, expanding the company’s artificial intelligence capabilities, sustainability offerings, and international presence.

The acquisition advances Novara’s strategy of building a more connected operational risk management platform for organizations operating in high-risk industries. By combining Ensogo’s AI expertise and sustainability technology with Novara’s safety and operational risk capabilities, the company aims to help customers proactively identify risks, improve productivity, and address evolving environmental and regulatory requirements.

Founded in Toronto, Ensogo provides AI-powered sustainability and ESG software that helps organizations streamline environmental reporting, enhance operational visibility, and manage compliance obligations. The company’s technology combines EHS expertise with AI and analytics capabilities.

Following the acquisition, Ensogo’s technology will be integrated into Novara’s Flex platform as a native AI solution. The combined platform will support predictive risk modeling, natural language analytics for safety data, automated compliance workflows, ESG data collection and validation, carbon accounting across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, and regulatory compliance capabilities.

The transaction also expands Novara’s footprint in Canada and strengthens its position across industries including manufacturing, mining, energy, oil and gas, construction, and other operationally intensive sectors.

As part of the acquisition, Ensogo co-founder and CEO Elie Mouzon will join Novara as chief strategy officer, overseeing the company’s AI, sustainability, and operational risk initiatives. Ensogo co-founder and chief technology officer Tommy Ng will become vice president of AI engineering, helping drive Novara’s agentic AI development efforts.

Novara also highlighted its expanded executive team, including Chief Technology Officer Dave Lundstrom and Chief Product Officer Jade Hendrix, as the company continues investing in AI-powered operational risk management capabilities.

Novara provides operational risk and safety management software through its Flex and Risk Management Center platforms. Ensogo offers an AI-native sustainability performance management platform focused on ESG compliance and performance management.
