Novvia Group Expands With Acquisition Of Aaron Packaging’s Distribution Business

By Amit Chowdhry ● Nov 20, 2025

Novvia Group has acquired the distribution assets of Washington-based Aaron Packaging, advancing its growth strategy in the Western United States and strengthening its national packaging distribution platform.

The privately negotiated transaction aligns with Novvia’s continued expansion efforts and leverages its backing from Kelso & Company.

Aaron Packaging, founded in 1991 and headquartered in Sumner, Washington, manufactures and distributes plastic and glass containers and closures. The company has served as a long-time supplier to Novvia subsidiary Rhino Container, which will now take over the acquired distribution assets. The addition of Aaron Packaging enhances Novvia’s reach across industrial and consumer markets while broadening its product availability for customers in the region.

Aaron Packaging’s manufacturing operations will continue under the leadership of Co-Owners Jake, Bryan, and Steve Thulin. The partnership reflects a natural transition following decades of commercial ties between the two companies. It supports Novvia’s ongoing efforts to build scale, diversify its offerings, and deepen its customer relationships in the Northwest.

The acquisition further solidifies Novvia’s growing presence in Oregon and Washington, an initiative that began with the carve-out of JF Shelton’s packaging distribution business. Novvia has been strategically targeting complementary companies across the region as it expands its national distribution network and adds long-term growth opportunities.

KEY QUOTES:

“We have valued our relationship with Novvia over the years and thought they were a natural home for our distribution business.”

Jake Thulin, Co-Owner, Aaron Packaging

“Since establishing a presence in Oregon and Washington through the carve out of JF Shelton’s packaging distribution business, we have been focused on growing our presence in the region by identifying complementary businesses with durable growth trajectories. Aaron Packaging fits well within this thesis.”

Ken Roessler, Executive Chairman, Novvia
