NPD Logistics, a national logistics and supply chain solutions provider, announced it has completed the acquisition of Urban Direct, a New York City-based Priority Overnight shipping company specializing in 10:30 a.m. next-day delivery. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Urban Direct has built a customer base of small and medium-sized businesses, particularly in the legal, parts and tools, and dental sectors. The acquisition adds a specialized, time-critical delivery capability to NPD Logistics’ network and strengthens its position in dense, service-sensitive metropolitan markets. As part of the transaction, Urban Direct’s operations, technology, and client relationships will be fully integrated under the NPD Logistics brand. The deal follows NPD’s earlier acquisition of 24/7 Delivers as part of the company’s continued expansion of its logistics services, same-day and next-day delivery capabilities, and real-time shipment visibility technology.
