NTT DATA Business Solutions has signed an agreement to acquire SPRO IT Solutions, a Brazil-based SAP specialist with a strong footprint across major agribusiness production chains. The transaction will be completed following approval from the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE). The deal adds around 70 customers to NTT DATA’s portfolio and further strengthens the company’s position in one of Brazil’s most strategically important sectors.
SPRO, founded in 2008, has become a key technology provider for Brazilian agribusiness, working with cooperatives, seed companies, agricultural input providers, trading firms, and agro-industrial operators across the country. The company’s expertise spans grain origination, animal protein, seeds, retail, and biofuels, supported by proprietary SAP Store solutions and partnerships with SAP, AWS, Microsoft, and Google. SPRO will continue operating independently under the brand name “SPRO, an NTT DATA Company” after the acquisition closes.
NTT DATA noted that Brazil remains one of the world’s largest IT services markets and said the SPRO acquisition supports its broader growth strategy across Latin America. With agribusiness representing nearly thirty percent of Brazil’s GDP and a significant share of its exports, the addition of SPRO positions NTT DATA to further scale SAP-based digital transformation initiatives across the sector. SPRO will also join NTT DATA’s Global Centers of Excellence to support collaboration and knowledge exchange.
As part of NTT DATA, SPRO aims to accelerate its product roadmap, expand client offerings, and build new joint SAP solutions. The company currently employs more than 350 people across Brazil’s most active agribusiness regions.
