NTT DATA has agreed to acquire Netgain AB and combine it with The Cloud People, creating what the company describes as Sweden’s largest pure-play ServiceNow business. The acquisition is expected to close within weeks, subject to customary regulatory approvals and other closing conditions.
Stockholm-based Netgain provides ServiceNow advisory, implementation, managed services and AI-powered workflow transformation capabilities to organizations seeking to modernize enterprise processes.
The company has approximately 60 specialists and holds more than 160 ServiceNow certifications, giving it a concentrated base of technical expertise across the platform.
Netgain’s capabilities span consulting and implementation work as well as ongoing managed services, allowing customers to use the firm for both initial ServiceNow deployments and continued optimization after systems go live.
The company also focuses on AI-enabled workflow transformation as customers increasingly use ServiceNow to automate more complex business processes across IT, HR, customer service and other enterprise functions.
Following completion of the transaction, Netgain will be combined with The Cloud People, another ServiceNow-focused business already owned by NTT DATA.
NTT DATA acquired The Cloud People in December 2025.
The Cloud People has more than 400 specialists across nine countries, giving the business a substantially broader geographic footprint across Europe and other markets.
By combining Netgain with The Cloud People, NTT DATA expects to significantly strengthen its ServiceNow capabilities in Sweden while also expanding its position across the broader Nordic market.
The combination brings together Netgain’s local market presence and customer relationships with The Cloud People’s larger international delivery organization.
That structure could allow the combined business to serve both domestic Swedish customers and multinational companies requiring ServiceNow support across multiple countries.
ServiceNow has become an increasingly important enterprise software platform as organizations seek to automate workflows and connect processes across different business functions.
Companies use the platform for areas including IT service management, operations, employee workflows, customer service and broader digital transformation initiatives.
As implementations become more sophisticated, enterprises often rely on specialist consulting partners to design, configure and manage these environments.
The acquisition gives NTT DATA additional scale in that ecosystem.
Netgain’s approximately 60 specialists add to The Cloud People’s existing workforce of more than 400 professionals, creating a larger pool of ServiceNow consultants and technical specialists under NTT DATA’s ownership.
Netgain’s team also holds more than 160 certifications, demonstrating the company’s technical depth across the ServiceNow platform.
Certified expertise can be particularly important in enterprise implementations because large ServiceNow environments may span multiple modules, integrations and workflows.
Customers often need partners that can handle both the technical deployment and the organizational changes required to automate existing processes.
Netgain’s combination of advisory, implementation and managed services positions it across multiple stages of that lifecycle.
Its AI-powered workflow transformation capabilities are also becoming more relevant as ServiceNow expands artificial intelligence features across its platform.
Enterprises are increasingly looking for ways to incorporate generative AI, automation and intelligent agents into routine business processes.
That can include automatically routing service requests, summarizing information, assisting employees and reducing manual work across operational teams.
Service providers that can combine AI expertise with ServiceNow implementation experience may therefore be well positioned as customers move from experimentation to production deployments.
For NTT DATA, the deal continues a strategy of expanding its capabilities around major enterprise software ecosystems.
The company can combine ServiceNow-specific expertise from Netgain and The Cloud People with its broader consulting, infrastructure and digital transformation capabilities.
That could create opportunities to pursue larger enterprise engagements where ServiceNow represents one component of a wider technology modernization program.
The Nordic region is also an important market for enterprise digital transformation.
Organizations across Sweden and neighboring countries have generally high levels of technology adoption and continue investing in cloud services, automation and digital workplace infrastructure.
Expanding the combined ServiceNow organization could help NTT DATA capture more of that demand.
The Cloud People’s existing presence across nine countries gives the combined business an international delivery model that can complement Netgain’s stronger local position in Sweden.
Customers with operations across Europe may benefit from having a single provider capable of supporting ServiceNow environments across multiple jurisdictions.
At the same time, Netgain’s local expertise can help deepen NTT DATA’s relationships with Swedish organizations.
The transaction also reflects continued consolidation within the ServiceNow partner ecosystem.
As enterprise customers look for larger partners with broader delivery capabilities, specialist consulting firms can become attractive acquisition targets for global technology services companies.
For Netgain, joining NTT DATA provides access to a much larger international platform and additional resources for growth.
The company can potentially expand into new customer segments and geographies while maintaining its specialized focus on ServiceNow.
Following closing, Netgain will operate under the name Netgain, an NTT DATA company.
That structure is expected to preserve the Netgain brand while aligning the business more closely with NTT DATA’s global organization.
The combination with The Cloud People will also create a larger ServiceNow-focused platform with expertise spanning consulting, implementation, managed services and AI-enabled transformation.
With the transaction expected to close within weeks, NTT DATA is moving quickly to deepen its ServiceNow presence in Sweden and strengthen its broader Nordic capabilities.
The acquisition adds Netgain’s approximately 60 specialists and more than 160 certifications to a platform that already includes more than 400 professionals through The Cloud People.
Once completed, the deal will give NTT DATA a larger dedicated ServiceNow business and a stronger foundation for serving organizations looking to automate enterprise workflows, modernize operations and adopt AI-enabled processes across the Nordic market.
