NTT DATA announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire WinWire, a Microsoft partner specializing in agentic AI, AI on Azure, data engineering, and cloud-native development. The acquisition is designed to strengthen NTT DATA’s enterprise AI strategy and expand its ability to help organizations operationalize AI at scale.
The deal will add more than 1,000 Azure engineers and AI specialists to NTT DATA, enhancing the company’s Microsoft-focused cloud and AI delivery capabilities. WinWire’s expertise across Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI Foundry, data engineering, and modern applications is expected to accelerate NTT DATA’s delivery of enterprise-grade AI solutions across industries.
NTT DATA said the acquisition supports growing demand for AI-driven, cloud-native transformation as enterprises increasingly move beyond AI experimentation toward production deployments. The company also noted that the combined capabilities will strengthen its leadership position within the Microsoft ecosystem, building on its recognition as Microsoft’s Global System Integrator Growth Champion Partner of the Year.
Headquartered in Santa Clara, California, WinWire operates delivery centers in India and has received multiple Microsoft Partner of the Year awards. The company is also a member of Microsoft’s Agentic Partner Alliance Program.
According to the announcement, the combined organizations will provide expanded capabilities across infrastructure, applications, data engineering, AI platforms, and managed services, helping enterprises deploy AI solutions more securely and efficiently.
The acquisition also enhances NTT DATA’s Global Business Unit for Microsoft Cloud, which operates across more than 50 countries and is supported by over 24,000 Microsoft certifications.
The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Rothschild & Co served as exclusive financial advisor to NTT DATA on the transaction.
