Nullify, a San Francisco-based product security company positioning itself as the first “AI workforce for product security,” has closed a $12.5 million seed funding round to accelerate deployment across mid-market enterprises and high-growth SaaS companies. SYN Ventures led the financing, with participation from existing investor Black Nova Venture Capital. The round brings Nullify’s total capital raised to $16.9 million.
As part of the investment, SYN Ventures Operating Partner Glenn Chisholm is joining Nullify’s board. The company is framing the raise around two converging pressures for security teams: increasingly sophisticated AI-enabled attacks and a persistent shortage of security talent. Nullify says its approach replaces fragmented tooling and manual workflows with autonomous “AI employees” that handle vulnerability detection, triage, validation, and remediation.
Nullify describes its product as an operational layer that ingests code, cloud configurations, and business context to autonomously generate and validate exploits, assess business impact, and produce merge-ready fixes. The company argues this model reduces dependence on manual triage, cross-tool coordination, and follow-ups that often characterize traditional vulnerability management programs.
Nullify reports that early adopters have used its platform to consolidate legacy tools and reduce manual security effort, with measurable results across its customer base. The company stated that, across dozens of customers, its AI employees have saved more than 48,000 hours of manual work, auto-resolved more than 450 vulnerabilities, and achieved a nearly 90 percent average merge-ready rate for vulnerability fix pull requests.
The company plans to deploy the new capital to scale go-to-market operations, expand engineering and research teams, and support broader global growth, with an emphasis on organizations most constrained by talent shortages and legacy tool complexity.
KEY QUOTES
“The security labor gap is the defining challenge for defenders today. Nullify’s first-of-its-kind AI workforce doesn’t just summarize alerts. It autonomously makes decisions and takes action, delivering outcomes that once required entire teams. I’m thrilled to join Nullify’s board as we partner to transform how enterprises defend against relentless, AI-driven threats.”
Glenn Chisholm, Operating Partner, SYN Ventures; Board Director, Nullify
“For organizations facing significantly greater speed and sophistication of AI-enabled attackers, holding the line with legacy dashboards, scanners, and ticket routing is a losing game. Whether organizations have a mature program or zero product security headcount, Nullify AI employees replace tool sprawl and the human hours it consumes, so defenders can finally outpace the offense. With SYN Ventures leading our latest funding, we now have the capital and the operating partnership to scale this model to the teams most constrained by talent shortages and legacy tool complexity.”
