Jane Street announced it has led a seed investment in Numerata, with additional participation from CoreWeave Ventures. The New York–based firm, known for its technology-driven trading and investment operations, is also becoming a flagship customer of Numerata, which builds AI-powered development tools to enhance developer productivity and reduce costly software errors.
Numerata’s platform leverages custom model training techniques and an ultra-low latency autocomplete backend to provide developers with AI systems that augment rather than replace human expertise. The company’s enterprise product, NinetyFive, enables organizations to train models on private codebases and deploy fully customized development tools that offer enhanced privacy and control compared to traditional cloud-based services.
CoreWeave is supporting the company through both its venture arm and access to the CoreWeave AI Cloud. Jane Street said the investment reflects its long-term approach to partnering with technology companies from early-stage development to public-market scale, supported by its infrastructure and technical diligence expertise.
Numerata, founded by Kevin Wang, is focused on making custom AI models as accessible as open-source software while enabling enterprises to deploy on-premises systems for high-speed reasoning, private code understanding, and secure AI/ML operations.
