Nuwellis has appointed Dale Brady as Principal R&D Engineer, strengthening the medical technology company’s research and development organization as it advances existing and new product programs.
Brady brings more than 25 years of experience across medical device research and development, manufacturing, operations, quality systems and commercialization.
In his new role, Brady will help lead internal product development initiatives and support Nuwellis as it works to execute multiple strategic programs simultaneously.
Nuwellis develops technologies for patients with cardiorenal conditions, including products designed to support monitoring, therapy and data-informed clinical decision-making across acute and chronic care settings.
The company said Brady’s experience moving medical devices from initial concepts through regulatory submission, manufacturing scale-up and commercial launch will support the expansion of its product development pipeline.
Throughout his career, Brady has led multidisciplinary engineering teams at both venture-backed startups and publicly traded medical device companies.
Most recently, he served on the executive leadership teams of Peytant Solutions and Endogenex. In those roles, Brady directed engineering and operational activities supporting clinical development and commercialization.
Brady previously spent nearly a decade at Osprey Medical, where he helped lead the development of next-generation cardiovascular technologies and digital monitoring systems.
He also held engineering leadership positions at Anulex Technologies and Spine-Tech.
Brady is an inventor or co-inventor on 10 issued U.S. patents and 16 pending patent applications.
He holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
Nuwellis said Brady’s combination of technical expertise, operating experience and hands-on leadership will help the company accelerate innovation while maintaining its focus on quality and execution.
The company’s portfolio includes commercially available and development-stage technologies designed to address complex cardiorenal conditions.
Nuwellis is focused on developing products that can be used across different patient populations while emphasizing safety, precision and scalability.
