NVIDIA has announced a partnership with Uber to build and deploy the world’s first Level 4-ready robotaxi and autonomous delivery network, powered by the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Hyperion 10 platform and DRIVE AV software.
Under the agreement, the companies plan to roll out 100,000 Level 4 autonomous vehicles by 2027, leveraging NVIDIA’s advanced compute and sensor reference architecture. Uber’s hybrid model will integrate human drivers and self-driving cars within a single, unified network. And NVIDIA’s Cosmos AI data factory will support large-scale simulation, training, and validation to ensure safety and reliability across diverse global environments.
The collaboration represents a significant expansion of NVIDIA’s autonomous vehicle ecosystem, which already includes partnerships with Stellantis, Lucid, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo Autonomous Solutions, and Aurora. Together, these alliances position NVIDIA as a foundational technology provider for next-generation mobility solutions that blend AI, data, and cloud infrastructure.
In addition to the large-scale deployment initiative, NVIDIA and Uber are launching the Halos Certified Program — a new industry standard that sets rigorous benchmarks for AI-driven vehicle safety and performance certification. This framework aims to accelerate trust and adoption of autonomous mobility worldwide, laying the foundation for secure, scalable deployment across passenger transport and logistics applications.
Through this partnership, NVIDIA and Uber are uniting their strengths in AI computing, mobility platforms, and global network operations to drive the next phase of intelligent transportation — one defined by safety, scalability, and autonomy at unprecedented scale.
