NWPX Infrastructure Acquires Serpentix Conveyor To Expand Wastewater Platform

By Amit Chowdhry ● Today at 6:48 PM

NWPX Infrastructure has acquired Serpentix Conveyor, adding engineered conveyor, automation, and fabrication capabilities to its growing wastewater infrastructure platform.

The transaction closed on September 2, 2026, and is expected to be accretive to earnings immediately. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Westminster, Colorado, Serpentix manufactures engineered conveyor systems primarily for municipal wastewater treatment plants and industrial manufacturing facilities.

Its systems transport abrasive, high-moisture materials, including sludge, grit, and screenings, in demanding municipal environments.

Serpentix’s continuous path technology allows a single conveyor to navigate horizontal turns, vertical inclines and complex three-dimensional layouts, reducing the need for multiple conveyors and intermediate transfer points.

The company also provides industrial automation and precision metal fabrication capabilities.

Serpentix generated approximately $15.6 million in net sales for the trailing 12 months ended June 30, 2026.

The acquisition adds to NWPX Park’s existing dewatering, separation and mixing capabilities and represents NWPX’s second acquisition of 2026 following its purchase of Boughton’s Precast in February.

KEY QUOTE:

“This acquisition further enhances NWPX Infrastructure’s position in the wastewater treatment market and adds a set of innovative engineered products for municipal and industrial applications. Serpentix strengthens our portfolio with specialized material-handling and engineered conveyance solutions that fit naturally alongside NWPX Park’s existing dewatering, separation, and mixing capabilities. It builds on a wastewater platform we have been developing within the Company and complements the broader growth strategy we have executed across our water transmission and Precast businesses. We see strong, long-term potential in this large, fragmented market with compelling opportunities to support NWPX’s continued growth, broaden the solutions we provide to municipal and industrial customers, and create lasting value for our shareholders. This transaction reflects our disciplined approach to capital allocation. It aligns with our strategy of serving essential water and wastewater infrastructure and the strategic criteria that have guided prior acquisitions.”
