Ocean Aviation, backed by Kennedy Lewis Investment Management, broke ground on a new private aviation campus at Miami Executive Airport, representing a $67 million capital commitment.
The development is planned to include up to 400,000 square feet of communal and private aircraft hangar space, a premium fixed-base operator terminal, and a fuel farm.
Ocean Aviation was established in 2024 after entering into a 40-year ground lease covering 40 acres at Miami Executive Airport.
The company expanded its South Florida presence in September 2026 by acquiring National Jets at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
National Jets will continue operating under its existing name.
Together, the Miami Executive and Fort Lauderdale locations form a dual-airport network serving the broader Miami-Fort Lauderdale private aviation market.
The Miami development will also include a 32,000-square-foot common-use taxi lane and common-use ramp serving U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Another component of the project will relocate the Wings Over Miami Air Museum to a new home at Miami Executive Airport.
Lemartec is leading the project through a design-build model, with Schenkel Shultz serving as design partner.
