OceanSound Partners announced it has hired Laura Noisten as Principal of Capital Markets, a newly created role in which she will lead the firm’s capital markets and leveraged finance operations.
The New York-based private equity firm focuses on control investments in technology and technology-enabled services companies serving aerospace, defense, government, and other highly regulated end markets. The appointment reflects OceanSound’s effort to institutionalize and centralize its capital markets capabilities as the firm continues to expand its portfolio and investment activities.
Noisten joins OceanSound from TPG, where she served as a vice president in the debt capital markets group. In that role, she structured and executed financing transactions and led multiple platform financings and portfolio refinancing deals. Her work also included advising on capital markets strategy and capital structure optimization throughout the investment lifecycle.
Earlier in her career, Noisten held positions at Credit Suisse in both the leveraged finance capital markets group and the financial sponsors group.
OceanSound currently manages more than $7.5 billion in regulatory assets under management and is investing out of its second fund. The firm has completed 12 platform investments that together have executed 54 add-on acquisitions, generating more than $4.0 billion in revenue and employing roughly 14,000 people.
Noisten holds a BSBA in finance and international business from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
