Robin Powered, a company that helps optimize offices, has closed $20 million in Series B funding led by Tola Capital. Existing investors Accomplice and FirstMark also participated in the round. And new strategic investor Allegion Ventures also joined this round.

Including this funding round, Robin has raised $30 million total. With this round of funding, Robin is going to double its headcount to 150 employees and expand its office space in Boston.

Launched by twin brothers CEO Sam Dunn and VP of Customer experience Zach Dunn, and CTO Brian Muse, Robin helps employees secure ideal spaces and resources for a project that they are working on. And facility leaders receive insights they need for optimizing the workplace. Prior to launching Robin, the Dunn brothers and Muse all worked together at a Boston-based digital agency called One Mighty Roar.

“Before, if I asked you what you needed out of your next office, you might go around and survey employees or hire an architecture firm,” said Sam Dunn via TechCrunch. “I heard a story where a manager sent around an intern every Thursday at 3 pm to talk to employees about the office, and that was one of two pieces of information handed over to the architecture firm. At the end of the day, it’s hard to know if there’s a shortage of meeting rooms, or teleconference-enabled rooms, or collaborative workspaces.”

Robin is able to connect to Google Calendar and Outlook to enable employees to gain an understanding of the meeting rooms and activity spaces that are available in an office.

And there is table signage set up in the front. With these tools, offices can also set up seating charts and office maps as well. And Robin could provide insights about what the office space is being used for in terms of meeting context.

The price of Robin’s tools is $300 per room and $24-$60 per desk. Some of Robin’s customers include HubSpot and Shopify.
