OliX Pharmaceuticals, a South Korea-based biotechnology company focused on RNA interference (RNAi) therapeutics, announced that it has secured approximately KRW 110 billion (about $81 million) through a third-party allotment of newly issued common shares. The investment was made jointly by BOLD, the corporate venture capital fund of L’Oréal, and Weiss Asset Management LP.

The financing brings together a strategic corporate partner and a major global investor, highlighting confidence in OliX’s proprietary small interfering RNA (siRNA) platform and long-term growth prospects.

BOLD serves as L’Oréal’s venture investment arm, backing beauty, biotechnology, and technology companies with disruptive innovation potential. Weiss Asset Management, which previously invested in OliX in August 2025, participated in the latest financing round as part of its continued support for the company.

OliX plans to use the newly raised capital to advance its siRNA-based development programs across multiple therapeutic areas, including projects focused on skin and hair conditions. The company also expects the investment to deepen its strategic partnership with L’Oréal, strengthen its research capabilities, and accelerate product development efforts.

The company’s technology platform, known as OASIS (OliX Advanced Small Interfering RNA System), is designed to enhance gene-silencing efficiency while enabling tissue-specific delivery. Using this platform, OliX is advancing RNAi therapeutics for indications including hair loss, age-related macular degeneration, hypertrophic scars, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), obesity, and cardiometabolic disorders.

Under its long-term “OliX 2.0 Roadmap,” the company is also developing next-generation delivery technologies targeting the central nervous system and adipose tissue while expanding its pipeline of RNAi-based therapies.
