Omabit Raises $2 Million Seed Financing Led By Bright Ventures

Omabit has raised $2 million in seed financing led by Bright Ventures to advance an artificial intelligence platform designed to help life sciences companies analyze scientific evidence and make decisions throughout drug development.

The company’s technology integrates a life sciences organization’s proprietary genomic, clinical, and other scientific information with relevant published research.

Omabit then uses the combined evidence to support analytical work and predictive modeling intended to help scientific teams interpret findings and determine potential next steps across research and development.

The platform addresses a challenge created by scientific evidence being distributed across different studies, vendors, databases, and systems.

Omabit brings those sources into a common analytical environment where researchers can investigate relationships spanning multiple datasets and studies.

Within the platform, scientific teams can ask questions in plain language, review results with traceability to the underlying evidence, and determine which additional analyses may be appropriate. New information can also be incorporated as it becomes available.

Omabit is initially focusing on clinical development, biomarker, and translational research teams.

Potential applications include examining differences in patient responses to treatments, comparing findings against published studies or other datasets, refining patient selection criteria, supporting future clinical trial design, and strengthening the scientific basis for discussions with regulators.

The new financing will support continued development of the Omabit platform and expansion of the company’s scientific and engineering teams.

Omabit also plans to use the capital to broaden adoption among life sciences organizations and increase integration of its technology into research and development workflows.

The fundraising follows Omabit’s entry into the Stanford StartX community during the summer of 2026.

Bright Ventures Founder and Managing Partner Lenore Champagne Beirne said the investment reflects the firm’s view that life sciences organizations have an opportunity to gain more value from the scientific knowledge they already possess.

KEY QUOTES:

“Each clinical study generates evidence that can shape what happens next—from understanding differences in patient response to planning a subsequent trial or preparing for regulatory discussions. We bring that evidence together so scientific teams can investigate critical questions in greater depth and carry a more complete understanding into their development decisions.”

Elena Cassidy, PhD, CEO And Co-Founder Of Omabit

“Understanding differences in treatment response requires connecting molecular variation with what is observed in patients. Bringing genomic and clinical evidence together can reveal relationships that are difficult to see in isolation and help researchers develop more precise hypotheses about the biology underlying clinical outcomes.”

Michael Snyder, Scientific Advisor To Omabit

“We look for founders who combine deep expertise with a clear understanding of the problem they are solving. Omabit’s team is addressing a consequential challenge: enabling scientific organizations to build on the knowledge they already hold.”
